The Rosebank Business Association and EMA helping business succeed

April, 2022

By: EMA

We are proud to announce a new partnership between the EMA and The Rosebank Business Association (RBA). This partnership reflects our shared values of giving back to the business community by encouraging connection and collaboration between each of our members.

RBA’s relationship with the EMA began nearly seven years ago when their members were regularly invited to access EMA learning and training opportunities, but the official partnership announcement was further delayed in recent years due to COVID-related issues.

The RBA was established in 2002 as a Business Association. They became a Business Improvement District (BID) in 2005 after being voted by local business owners to represent their needs and enhance the reputation of businesses in the area. That means they work closely with Auckland Council to increase employment and local business investment, develop business, enhance the physical environment, and identify and promote the profile of the district.

Like we are, the dedicated RBA team are passionate about their local community and the greater good of Auckland. Today, they represent the needs of more than 600 businesses and over 9,000 employees by providing them with support, advice, security, and networking opportunities.

Currently, all new RBA members are welcomed to the association with a full membership pack which includes a $150 EMA voucher. These vouchers can be used to access all EMA services, including our Legal, Learning and Business Development support.

Among the many unique and valuable initiatives run by RBA, the Pathways to the Future Trust Awards scheme holds great significance.

Pathways provides an avenue for young people to further advance their vocational careers by accessing grants for contributions towards courses, textbooks, or tools of trade. The EMA has sponsored Pathways since its establishment, and to date, the Trust has donated over $200,000 to 100 young West Aucklanders. Recipients are invited to attend official annual award presentations where they receive a plaque and scholarship. Recipients often use their scholarships to access EMA courses and learning opportunities.

The EMA is delighted to have formed this unique partnership and we look forward to working alongside RBA this year to help business succeed together.
